Pet Boarding

At Animal Health Center of Land O’ Lakes, we have boarding facilities on-site to accommodate your canine and feline family members for any length of time!

Pet Boarding in Land O’ Lakes, FL

All our boarding areas are indoor and climate-controlled, with alarms that alert our staff should the temperature rise above 75 degrees. Our kennels are clean, comfortable, and safe – allowing you to have peace of mind while away on business or travel.

Staff members are with the boarding animals from 7 AM to 6 PM. At all other times, the boarding facilities are closely monitored electronically for temperature conditions and safety. Our practice owner has access to our cameras at home so that we can check on the animals at a moment’s notice should there be any concerns about a boarding pet.

Rabies, DAPP, and Bordetella vaccinations are required for dogs to board for any length of time. If your pet is not a patient of our hospital, it is your responsibility upon booking a reservation to provide current vaccination records from a licensed veterinarian. If your pet is overdue for vaccinations, it is imperative that your pet receives the appropriate vaccinations a minimum of two weeks prior to your boarding reservation.

We also require that your dog has a current fecal parasite analysis on file. If your dog is overdue for a fecal flotation test, it is imperative that you schedule an appointment for your pet or drop off a fecal sample a minimum of two weeks prior to your boarding reservation. If a fecal sample is positive for parasites, you must complete the recommended treatment prior to boarding at our hospital. All dogs must be current on heartworm and flea prevention with supportive documentation.

Rabies and FVRCP vaccinations are required for cats to board at our facility. If your cat is overdue for vaccinations, it is imperative that your pet receives the appropriate vaccinations a minimum of two weeks prior to your boarding reservation.

We will provide clean bedding, food, and any other necessary supplies for your little one’s stay. You are more than welcome to bring food, treats, toys, and bedding from home! We do, however, ask that you bring any special diets and medications your pet is currently prescribed.
